Mathematical simulation of the Ay-Todor bay wave regime

Investigation of wave regime coastal water areas is practically important for safe shipping, constructing and using infrastructure objects. At the present paper statistical characteristics space distribution parameters wind waves in Ay-Todor Bay region placed on Crimea South Coast Black Sea are obtained basis mathematical simulation. Analysis year diapason 1979–2017 has shown that running from east having 0.5 m heights 3.0–3.5 s mean periods most repeatable. The durable storms formed by coming East–South-South-West sector period December to January. multiannual calm duration equal ~11 days. Estimation extremal (height, length) different probability, which possible one time a year, 5, 10, 25, 50 100 years made. For storm probable 25 height near boundary 4.5 m. this 1% probability reaches 9.6 directions winds 4 % causes dangerous calculations with high resolution (~1.5 m) carried out SWAN model nested grid technology. Fields significant height, length, bottom orbital velocities breaking zones analyzed. It found intensive generated south-east, south directions. Maximal current 2.5–3.5 m/s occurs along coast till 10 depth. Model calculation currents SWASH allowed presence zone beach local cyclonic eddy, transport suspended sediments its edge towards sea.
